St. Francis Nsambya Hospital

St. Francis Nsambya Hospital is a private Catholic hospital in Kampala. We met with leaders of the hospital in March after an obstetrician requested our help in developing their bereavement program. They are now our second Birth with Dignity Program in Uganda. We spent a brief time with them, teaching to a large number of staff and delivering supplies to some of their units. We were impressed with the bereavement care that they are already providing for both stillbirth families and also for moms with a neonatal death. We had the opportunity to counsel some grieving mothers while modeling care for the midwives. We look forward to working with Nsambya and further developing our program there.
